Instagram Head Adam Mosseri is now sharing a number of views on the trends and transitions seen for 2026. One of them is regarding the slowdown of artificial intelligence-generated content across platforms, including Instagram.
As many are aware, today we are ready to see generated content being used by many on a number of platforms, causing confusion and debate regarding a matter or information. Not only that, artificial intelligence-generated content is also used in the delivery of a number of things. This has led a number of social media platforms to now include labels to mark a content as being generated by artificial intelligence.
In addition, several services also include markers on generated images or videos, which label it as artificial intelligence. However, not all platforms include the marker. This makes identifying AI-generated content difficult to identify – not to mention with AI models that are rapidly developing every day.
Touching on this, Adam said it would be easier if we labeled and added markers to original media. The move is also said to be easier, as camera manufacturers can easily add markers to the recording results.
In addition, Adam also touched on the subject of photo recording, where many people chase after capturing the perfect moment – making it difficult to differentiate from AI-generated ones. Perhaps nowadays, imperfect photos are better, since they show that they are original recordings of a user.
