Dyson's innovation is to shrink existing products until they become like a regular broom. This can be seen through the PencilVac which is the smallest vacuum cleaner they have ever produced with the motor stuffed into a thin handle.
PencilVac technology is now used in the Dyson PencilWash which makes it the smallest motorized floor cleaner ever produced. PencilWash washes floors using water and is a replacement for manual floor mops for use in small homes around 1000 square feet.
The handle has a diameter of 3.8 cm and weighs only 2.2 kg which is lighter than the WashG1 which was launched in 2024. Despite being small, PencilWash still has a 295 ml clean water tank and a 355 ml dirty water tank built in.
PencilWash can be used continuously for 30 minutes with a recharge time taking 3.5 hours. It is sold for $349 (~ RM 1364) per unit.
