Google Pixel Scam Detection Feature Now Available on Samsung Galaxy S26 Series

With the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra earlier this morning, the Scam Detection feature has finally arrived on these three devices after being only available on Pixel devices for a long time. Scam Detection detects fraudulent phone calls and then warns the phone owner about them.

It uses Gemini's built-in artificial intelligence to detect phone calls suspected of being from scammers. The data is not seen by Google to ensure the privacy of the device owner. By default, this feature is turned off and users must enable it themselves. At this time, Scam Detection support on the Galaxy S26 series is limited to users in the United States first before expanding to other markets.

Scam Detection can also filter messages sent through Google Messages that are also fraudulent. It identifies scammer tactics before displaying a warning to the user. Gemini's AI is again used to scan received messages.

Scam Detection in Google Messages is now supported in 20 countries in English, Arabic, French. German, Portuguese and Spanish only at this time. It is also only supported on Pixel devices and the Galaxy S26 series.
