Microsoft Project Helix Announced – Console Can Run Xbox and PC Games

Xbox is still alive and Microsoft’s next-generation console is currently being developed under Project Helix. This was just announced by Xbox CEO Asha Sharma with details about Helix to be revealed at GDC next week.

She confirmed that the next-generation Xbox can run Xbox and PC games at the same time. This confirms rumors that have been heard for the past year and were expected after the ROG Xbox Ally was launched.

The ability to run Xbox and PC games simultaneously will give Xbox an advantage over other consoles on the market. With support for legacy games, Helix will have thousands of game catalogs accessible from day one.

This may be the reason why Sony is reportedly only offering multiplayer games like Hell Divers and Marathon to PC from now on. Single-player games from Sony Studios such as God of War and the Horizons series will return to being exclusive to PlayStation from now on.
