Telegram has received a new update to ensure a better user experience. Among the features introduced this time are Member Tags, which is where group members can add tags next to their names to indicate their respective roles.
Administrators can also set whether members are free to set their own tags or only administrators can give them, while admin tags will be displayed in a different color to make them easier to recognize. This function is similar to the add member tag feature found in the WhatsApp application but is more neatly integrated in Telegram.
In addition, users can add captions to GIFs before sending. This function makes them more suitable for ‘memes’ or creative messages. Images can also be converted into stickers with one click and after that they can be edited to crop objects, add text or emoji. Not only that, GIFs and stickers can also be edited in Telegram’s media editor. Users can add text, draw or add emoji, thus giving more freedom when communicating.
This update also improves community functionality with the ‘Timestamps’ function on votes that allows participants to see the time each vote was made more clearly. The bot also now supports ‘Streaming Responses’ which makes text appear gradually on the screen to make communication feel more natural.
At the same time, Telegram introduced Log In with Telegram, which allows users to log in to the application or website with just a Telegram account without having to create a password. In addition, there is also Time & Date Formatting which allows messages to contain dates and times that can be pressed to add events to the calendar or set reminders.
For Telegram Premium users, there is an additional feature called Disable Sharing in Private Chats. Through this function, sharing in conversations can be completely blocked. This includes preventing messages from being forwarded, blocking screenshots, and preventing media from being saved. This feature helps create a safer communication environment between two parties.
