Good color grading is the difference between amateur and professional-looking videos. In the world of video editing, DaVinci Resolve has been getting a lot of attention lately for its beautiful, yet more importantly, easy-to-use color grading system.
This week Adobe showed off a new Color Mode feature for Premiere that brings professional color grading features like Resolve to the table. Color Mode is designed to be easy for video editors to use without requiring them to have the expertise of a colorist.
It's built right into the Premiere interface with several presets available for use that users can then edit further to get the colors they want in their head. These can then be saved to a personal profile. The controls that can be done are saturation, hue, and luminance.
Color Mode is available in Adobe Premiere (beta) today for Premiere and Creative Cloud Pro.
