Amazon is ready to invest $8 billion in Anthropic previously. Not only that, Amazon now announced that they will invest $5 billion in Anthropic today, as well as an additional $20 billion based on Anthropic's commercial reach.
With this move, Amazon continues to strengthen its hold on the Claude-based artificial intelligence developer that is increasingly popular and rapidly used among enterprise users and developers.
In addition, in line with this investment, Anthropic also said that they are committed to spending more than $100 billion on AWS services and technology - including Amazon's upcoming chips to power artificial intelligence.
In addition to Anthropic, Amazon has also previously invested $50 billion in OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT.
