iQIYI yesterday announced the Nadou Pro artificial intelligence (AI) agent that it says enables professional video content production without human involvement. According to iQIYI, 100 popular actors are now in the Nadou Pro database, allowing content such as short dramas to be generated without real actors having to set foot on set.
Nadou Pro supports the entire production workflow such as scriptwriting, character design, storyboarding, visual direction, and final output. Unlike OpenAI Sora, Nadou Pro is designed to produce quality long-form narrative content such as dramas and films. This is the same capability as Bytedance’s Seedance 2.0 which can be accessed through CapCut.
Nadou Pro is unique in that it combines iQIYI’s QiZhi model with third-party models such as SeeDance, Kling, Vidu, Hailuo, and WAN. This AI agent has been used by iQIYI in internal testing since 2025 in film, drama, and animation projects.
Immediately after the launch, several actors listed as accessible on Nadou Pro issued a statement saying they had never given permission for themselves to be used. iQiYI issued a statement stating that even though popular actors exist in the Nadou Pro database, they will still obtain permission first before their “faces” can be used in generated videos.
