The Google Chrome web browser now has a new feature called Skills that saves and reruns frequently used AI prompts in just one click. With Skills, there’s no need to retype AI prompts every time you want to perform the same task.
Frequently used prompts can be saved to your chat history. To reuse them, press “/” or click the “+” icon in Gemini in Chrome. Skills can be run on the tab you’re currently using or on multiple tabs at once. Saved skills can be re-edited to further refine the prompt’s instructions.
Skills can be used to calculate the number of calories in a recipe you’re reading or compare two products you’re viewing in two different tabs. Google has also made some of the skills available that it feels are useful.
Skills are available on Chrome on Windows, Mac, and Chrome OS today, but only if the web browser is in US English.
