Denuvo Anti-Piracy System Has Been Completely Bypassed

To combat piracy, modern PC games use the extremely difficult Denuvo system. Since its introduction in 2014, every game with Denuvo had to be hacked one by one before it could be played. But now Denuvo has reportedly been successfully bypassed on all games that use it.

The hypervisor bypass technique has been used to bypass the game's authenticity checking system in the code without having to remove the anti-piracy system used. Several piracy groups say that all games with Denuvo can now be played using the hypervisor bypass without having to be patched first. As a result, new games can be pirated on the first day they are released.

Irdeto, the company that developed Denuvo, has issued a statement that they are developing a patch to prevent the hypervisor bypass from being used.

Although Denuvo was developed to prevent piracy, it is also not popular among players who buy original video games. The system works in the background, reducing game performance by between 5-10%. There are buyers of original games using illegal patches and now hypervisor bypasses simply to get higher frame rates.
