Insta360 is known for its compact 360-degree cameras and now also offers an action camera with Leica lenses. After this, it seems that Insta360 will also enter the digital camera market after its design was leaked to the web arena last weekend.
This compact digital camera will reportedly use an MFT/M43 sensor and interchangeable lenses. Insta360's strategy is different from GoPro, which last week launched the GoPro Mission 1 Pro ILS, which is an action camera with an MFT mount.
Based on the leaked images, the Insta360 MFT camera will have a standard mirrorless camera design, a camera shutter button, a zoom button, a hot shoe for accessories and an LCD screen that can be adjusted by the user. It will however not have a built-in EVF like the majority of mirrorless cameras.
Despite the images being leaked, it is still unknown when this camera will be launched. It may be launched together with the compact gimbal camera equipped with a dual camera that was also leaked last week.
