Mini, mini and mini are now the trend among tablet manufacturers today. OPPO also seems to be not far behind when it launched the Pad Mini in China yesterday. According to the announced details, the Pad Mini comes with a compact and lightweight design weighing around 279 grams.
The Pad Mini is equipped with an 8.8-inch (2520×1680) 2.5K OLED screen, 1600 nits peak brightness and a 144Hz refresh rate. It is paired with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip along with memory options of up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB or 512GB UFS 4.1 internal storage.
The tablet also runs Android 16 with ColorOS 16 which offers important features such as automatic network sharing, simultaneous dual 5G support, synchronization across Android and Apple ecosystems and audio connection for multiple headphones at the same time.
The Pad Mini also packs a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, an 8MP front camera, a USB Type-C port, dual speakers, two microphones, and an 8,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.
Oppo also detailed the capabilities of the AI-powered stylus that comes with realistic vibration feedback as well as special functions such as AI Charting and AI Drawing to complement the tablet's main features. The Oppo Pad Mini is priced starting at RMB3699, which is about RM2142 for the base version.
