A mini-sized tablet has once again entered the market with the Redmi K Pad 2. It brings the concept of a compact and lightweight tablet with powerful internal hardware support in its class. It was also announced alongside the Redmi K90 Max in China yesterday.
The Redmi K Pad 2 comes with an 8.8-inch (3008 x 1880) 16:10 LCD screen that supports a 165Hz refresh rate. This is paired with the Mediatek Dimensity 9500 chip along with a large-scale 15300 mm² VC aluminum alloy cooling system for better heat dissipation. As a result, the tablet is able to support a full-frame high-resolution 3K gaming experience with a 165Hz refresh rate for more than 40 popular games in China.
The tablet also comes with a 9100mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging. It also offers several additional features to enhance the gaming experience including a dual-sided USB-C port for simultaneous charging and audio, 360° antenna support for better signal coverage, bypass charging function to reduce heat when playing while charging, and stereo speakers optimized by Sound by Bose technology.
Redmi K Pad 2 also comes with the Android 16 operating system with HyperOS 3 for the latest experience. In addition, it packs several other features such as a 13MP main camera, 8MP selfie, Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB Type-C 3.2 Gen1 port. The selling price of this tablet in China starts at RMB 3599 (RM 2,084).
