Steam Controller Goes on Sale May 4th for $99

Valve has finally announced that the Steam Controller will finally go on sale starting May 4th. This controller can be used with Windows PCs and Steam Machines. The announcement comes almost six months after the controller was shown off. Although the Steam Controller's release date has been announced, Valve still hasn't revealed when the Steam Machine and Steam Frame will also be launched.

The Steam Controller has four face buttons, a d-pad, 2x analog sticks, 2x touch pads, 4x new buttons, and 4x buttons on the bottom. It can be tethered using Bluetooth, 2.4GHz, and also using the included USB-C cable.

In addition to supporting the haptic system, the new Steam Controller also tracks movement through a built-in gyroscope system. The two analog sticks are equipped with TMR switches that avoid the stick drift issue that plagues other controllers. Each Steam Controller is equipped with an 8.39 Wh Li-ion battery that provides up to 35 hours of use on a single charge.

The Steam Controller will be sold in the United States, Canada, UK, EU, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan starting May 4 at a price of $99 (~RM 391) each.
