Google I/O 2026 with Google announcing that 5 of their products now have over 3 billion monthly users. They are Android, Search, Gmail, Chrome and YouTube. An amazing achievement because it is almost half of the world's population.
Also announced by Google is that they now have 13 products that have over 1 billion monthly users. These are Android, Search, Gmail, Chrome, YouTube, Drive, Maps, Play Store, Calendar, Photos, Authenticator, Lens and Messages.
Gemini will soon enter the 1 billion user group and currently has 900 million monthly users. This is an increase of over 100% because at Google I/O 2025 it had 400 million monthly users.
The AI Overviews feature in Search alone has over 2.5 billion monthly users while AI Mode is accessed by over 1 billion users per month. Finally, Google also said that 50 billion have been generated using the Nano Banana generative AI model so far.
