It's not easy to build a ladder to the sky. It's not easy to turn dreams into reality. But for Mohammad Hasif Afiq, an iOS application development engineer and developer of the Bantu App, he is now the first Malaysian to be included in the Apple Developer Recognition list.
His profile was featured on the front page of Developer Recognition two days ago along with 49 other developers from around the world who have made significant contributions to their respective communities. Mohammad Hasif is currently a senior software engineer at Grab and is involved in the development of the Grab, GXBank, Boost eWallet, and JobStreet apps.
During the pandemic, which caused many Malaysians to face difficulties in getting help, Mohammad Hasif developed the Bantu App under the #KitaJagaKita viral initiative on social media. In addition, he is also the developer of the Hidayah App application that shows prayer times, qibla compass, selected prayers, tasbih and Al Quran verses. Finally, he is also active in Switflah!, which is the iOS developer community in Malaysia.
In a status update on LinkedIn, Mohammad Hasif said he initially couldn't believe he was included in the list because he thought Apple had sent the wrong email. It was seen as a validation of every line of code, every problem solved, and every user he had helped over the years.
