The iPhone Ultra is expected to launch this year as Apple's first foldable screen device. News of the device's existence has been heard for over four years, with Apple reportedly delaying the launch until a screen without a fold effect is successfully created.
With the launch likely to take place around September, the true design of the iPhone Ultra has been revealed through a third-party frame design by iFunSmart that was leaked earlier, according to a report by iPhonesoft.
The device will have a wider outer screen than the Galaxy Z Fold, Find N, and Pixel Fold series. With this wide screen, the device will have a 4:3 inner screen ratio similar to an iPad Mini.
Rumors say the iPhone Ultra's outer screen will be 5.5″ and the inner one will be 7.8″, paired with only a 48MP dual camera on the back, no Face ID (only Touch ID), and a 5800 mAh battery, the largest ever used in an iPhone.
The trend of wide-screen foldable devices was started by Huawei with the Pura X. Samsung is also believed to be launching a wide-screen device called the Galaxy Z Fold8, while the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is a version with a regular screen ratio but equipped with more premium specifications.
