NVIDIA announced that their revenue increased 85% in the last quarter compared to the same quarter in 2025. Although the demand for their artificial intelligence chips is still increasing, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang said that they have given up the AI chip market in China to Huawei.
The United States imposed various restrictions on the export of AI chips to China, causing the use of locally made chips, especially Huawei, to be chosen as an alternative by local companies. Last year, the Chinese government provided incentives in the form of electricity subsidies if local AI companies used Huawei chips.
As a result, just a few weeks ago Jensen Huang said that their AI chip market share in China is zero, whereas before the restrictions were imposed in 2024, they held 66% of the market. Jensen attended President Trump's delegation to China last week at the last minute to resolve the trade war crisis between the United States and China. But after the meeting of Presidents Xi and Trump in Beijing, no announcement of an agreement was announced, indicating that the status quo is still continuing.
