Apple Will Refocus on Design Under CEO John Ternus



Are Apple products no longer attractive in terms of design? Many die-hard fans I know say that Apple products after Jony Ive look the same with only minor changes given every year. In a recent report by Mark Gurman in Bloomberg, he said that this will change under the new CEO John Ternus.


John Ternus is reported to be returning the design focus to Apple products like under the late Steve Jobs era. Among his visions is to make Apple products “cool” again from the consumer’s point of view. The first product to receive this new touch is the MacBook Neo which is praised for offering a premium design but at an affordable price.


A major overhaul of the iPhone design is believed to be done with the iPhone 20 next year in conjunction with the 20th anniversary of its launch. Among the rumors heard is that it comes without physical buttons, has a full screen, a Face ID system under the screen and has a curved screen on all four sides. It will be the first iPhone truly under the leadership of Ternus.


The change in direction of Apple's products under Ternus was predicted because before being announced as a replacement for Tim Cook, he held the position of Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering at Apple, who was previously expected to replace Cook.
