Getty Images, one of the world's leading image and photo licensing providers, today announced a collaboration with OpenAI. Through this, various Getty Images content is now licensed to be offered through ChatGPT's search support.
This move is also expected to provide a better visual experience for users of ChatGPT's own artificial intelligence service, in addition to further strengthening their position in the imaging and search arena.
Previously, Getty Images had also signed an agreement with Perplexity for search support on the service. Through the previous agreement with Perplexity, Getty only allowed their images to be displayed in search support, and did not allow their library to be used for the purpose of training AI models. It is likely that the licensing and collaboration methods will be more or less the same for this ChatGPT collaboration.
