Neolix, one of the Chinese companies focusing on the development of self-driving vehicles and logistics, has now announced that they have received permission from the authorities in Malaysia to test their self-driving vehicles.
Through the permission granted to Neolix, it will allow the self-driving vehicles to be tested in Cyberjaya, under the “National Regulatory Sandbox Framework”. The test is expected to be carried out throughout the second half of 2026.
Neolix is working with several local logistics companies, including Tiong Nam Logistics and Asia Mobiliti, where a number of things will be evaluated in the pilot test, including involving parcel delivery and e-commerce delivery. If all goes well, it is not impossible that we will see these self-driving vehicles begin to be used commercially in Malaysia in the coming years.
