Ninja Van Modernizes Their Delivery Centers with Zebra Technologies



Ninja Van is a delivery and logistics platform well-known in Malaysia for their easy-to-use delivery system and fast delivery times. Recently, to further streamline their delivery system, Ninja Van has upgraded their fulfillment centers using warehousing technology from Zebra Technologies.


Ninja Van now offers both consumer and business-to-business delivery services, serving 25 million customers across Malaysia. Due to this, Ninja Van’s operations have become increasingly complex and there is a need to optimize their delivery system so that their workforce can be used more efficiently to ensure fast and safe delivery of goods.


To streamline their workflow, Ninja Van has implemented the AC2 WAVE Warehouse Management System (WMS) which uses a cloud-based system in collaboration with Zebra PartnerConnect and AC2 WAVE. To ensure smooth operations in the warehouse, Ninja Van is also using Zebra’s TC2 series mobile computers which give warehouse workers mobile access to the warehouse management system, along with Zebra’s ZD200 series desktop printers.


This integrated solution connects the picking area to the final delivery. Workers use TC2 devices for real-time guidance on inventory locations, increasing asset visibility. Upon receipt of packages, they are labeled at the packing station using a ZD200 printer. Ninja Van then uses both thermal transfer and direct thermal technology on the ZD200 printer to support specific operational use cases, instantly producing the precise labels needed for proper package routing.


The combination of Zebra devices and the AC2 WAVE warehouse management system platform has driven significant improvements in operational speed and accuracy. Operators at Ninja Van are now able to effectively process 30 to 60 scans per minute, doubling the previous scanning speed.


In addition, the reliability of the ZD200 printer helps ensure labels remain legible throughout the delivery journey, contributing to a reduction in customer complaints about missed or delayed deliveries.
