Oppo has just launched the Reno16 series to the global market with three different models, namely Reno16, Reno16 Pro and Reno16 F. Interestingly, this global version comes with a slight change in specifications compared to the original model launched in China.
Oppo Reno16 Pro
Reno16 Pro is equipped with a 6.3” FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and supports 1.07 billion colors (10-bit) and a pixel density of 460 PPI. This phone is paired with the Dimensity 8550 SUPER chip with 12GB LPDDR5X memory and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. Interestingly, this is different from the model in China which uses the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chip.
In addition, it also comes with a camera system consisting of a 50MP ultra-wide lens, a 200MP OIS wide-angle and a 50MP telephoto. The front camera uses 50MP with a 100° FOV which allows for wider image recording. A 6,700 mAh battery with 80W fast charging support is used for prolonged use while additional features such as an under-screen fingerprint scanner are intended for user convenience.
Reno16
Reno16 also uses an AMOLED screen 6.3” FHD+ 120Hz paired with Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip, up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The main camera consists of a 50MP ultra-wide lens, 50MP wide angle OIS and 50MP telephoto. Meanwhile, the front camera uses a 50MP sensor with 100° FOV for clearer image recording. A 6,700 mAh battery with 80W fast charging support is also used and the under-screen fingerprint scanner feature adds to user convenience.
Reno16 F
Reno16 F features a 6.57” FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy chip, up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. A 7,000mAh battery is also included and supports 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging. The main camera consists of an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 50MP OIS wide-angle and a 50MP telephoto lens. While the front camera uses a 50MP sensor with a 100° FOV which allows for higher quality selfies.
These are all the Reno16 models offered globally. Meanwhile, the launch in Malaysia is scheduled to take place on July 8, 2026 with pre-orders now open via a deposit payment of RM50.
