There is no denying that the cost of living is increasing. In order to facilitate the purchase of goods while supporting the PMKS (Micro Small Medium Enterprises) industry, TikTok Malaysia today announced a large investment worth RM 180 million for shopkeepers and buyers to purchase basic goods through TikTok Shop.
Through the collaboration between Tiktok Shop and the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, several programs will be implemented to ease the cost of living while helping local entrepreneurs. There are several programs that will be implemented, namely JomLokal 2026, the Ihsan Rahmah sales program and each of these programs will also have discounts and assistance to encourage purchases through TikTok Shop.
Among the measures taken include zero commission which has been further expanded to include 5 new products including milk, powdered milk, yogurt and many more. This totals 56 sub-categories that receive the benefit of zero commission. Buyers will also receive a RM 2 rebate for each purchase to reduce shipping costs.
Next, the Ihsan Rahmah Sale will also be held via TikTok Shop which will provide discounts of up to 30% on basic items. The method is as simple as activating TikTok Pay with identity card verification, and making purchases via the Rahmah Sale live broadcast on every Payday Offer. Visit the JomLokal Festival to find out about the next TikTok Shop activities in the future.
