AMD Zen 2 Returns With AMD Ryzen 7 4700LE Chip

In the middle of this year, AMD revived the AM4 chip platform by re-introducing the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor model because the issue of DDR5 memory constraints forced them to re-introduce a computing platform that can take advantage of DDR4 memory.

Recently, specifically for the Chinese market for now, AMD seems to have introduced another old processor chip called the AMD Ryzen 7 4700LE which is developed based on AMD Zen 2 technology which was launched in 2019. To remind you, the AMD Zen 2 chip series is the platform for the AMD Ryzen 3000 series of processor chips.

We can now see a number of details about this processor chip, such as offering 8 physical cores and 16 power threads, base and Boost Clock speeds of 3.6GHz/4.2GHz and TDP power consumption of 65W.

From what can be found, this processor chip also seems to have been offered in the Chinese market since March or April 2026. However, before this chip was only offered through OEM computer building companies in that country.

Recently, the offer of desktop computers with this processor chip can be seen through the Amazon site in the United States, through the Qehi seller company from China who sells computer systems with this processor chip for $799 or RM3,258.84 because this computer can be shipped to a Malaysian address through the site.

Even so, this processor chip seems to still only be "offered" for official purchase in the Chinese market for now, where the purchase of processor chips for the AM4 platform in other markets is still limited to the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor chip model only.
