Sony has announced the RX10 V in Malaysia almost nine years after the previous model was launched. The camera is equipped with a 1″ stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor with a resolution of 20.1MP and a BIONZ XR image processing engine. It is paired with a ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T 24-600mm F2.4-4.0 fixed lens equipped with optical stabilization.
The 25x optical zoom range allows this camera to capture a variety of scenarios from wide-angle for everyday use to long-distance telephoto. In addition, macro can also be done with a focus distance as close as 3cm at the longest focal length of 600mm. At this position, the camera can zoom in far to capture subjects such as birds or wildlife.
The camera is also equipped with a Real-time Recognition AF system powered by dedicated AI processing. This system is able to identify people, animals, cars and airplanes through automatic mode that will determine the type of subject on its own. In addition, human body position estimation technology allows tracking to be performed even when faces are unclear or subjects are facing away from the camera.
The RX10 V also offers a 0.5-inch Quad-VGA OLED viewfinder with approximately 3.68 million dots, as well as a rear LCD screen with approximately 1.62 million dots. Its battery life can last up to approximately 630 shots per charge using an NP-FZ100 battery.
At the same time, the RX10 V supports 4K 120p recording for up to five times slow-motion playback in 4K resolution. Active Mode and AI-based Auto Framing image stabilization functions help keep subjects in the frame. S-Cinetone and S-Log3 color profiles are also provided with support for up to 16 LUTs.
The RX10 V is now available for pre-order in Malaysia at RM8,999 through official Sony channels. This purchase will come with a free NP-FZ100 battery and a PGYTECH OneGo Lite 22L backpack worth RM988.
