Microsoft Reportedly Discontinuing Production of Surface Go and Surface Laptop Go

The Microsoft Surface Go and Surface Laptop Go series of tablets and laptops were introduced as a series of affordable mobile computers for those who cannot afford the Microsoft Surface Pro and Surface Laptop series. Typically, the Surface Go devices will come with more affordable processing chips and price tags that allow more people to enjoy the offerings of the device series.

Recently, it was reported by Windows Central that Microsoft has now discontinued the production of the 4th generation Microsoft Surface Go and Surface Laptop Go device series and has no plans to replace them with new device models.

Now, it can be seen that the only remaining Microsoft Surface devices are the premium Microsoft Surface Pro and Microsoft Surface Laptop tablets and the Microsoft Surface RTX Spark Dev Box for developers of artificial intelligence and services technologies.

The report also said that the existing Microsoft Surface Go and Surface Laptop Go stocks will continue to be sold until they run out, and after that, only the premium models will remain on sale.

Microsoft Surface devices are now seen to come with more premium Intel and Qualcomm processor chip offerings, and moving forward, it looks like it will remain a series of devices that come with a more expensive price tag.
