At the end of last week, we saw Apple filing a lawsuit against OpenAI, stating that the firm violated several things, including stealing confidential information about the device from former Apple employees, as well as approaching Apple suppliers in a dishonest manner. However, OpenAI has taken action on the matter.
Now, a Bloomberg report states that OpenAI is still maintaining their product development timeline, with the goal of announcing their first device as early as 2026, with the goal of marketing it in 2027. However, the timeline may change in line with any developments involving Apple’s lawsuit.
What the first product will be introduced is not yet known. According to several previous reports, OpenAI is ready to develop a smartphone-shaped device, in addition to also developing a necklace-shaped AI device, and several other different designs. The initial product is expected to focus on the inclusion of a camera and microphone, allowing it to identify the environment, as well as communicate with users based on voice.
Anyway, let’s look forward to the development of OpenAI and their product development in the future.
