Google Pics was launched as another image generation service using artificial intelligence (AI) Nano Banana. It is a separate service from Google Photos and Google Gemini which also have image generation and editing features.
Google Pics can generate images using prompts entered by the user. Each element in the generated image can then be separated and refined with additional prompts. This simplifies the process of changing the generated results which has been difficult to control.
In addition to graphic elements, text elements can also be changed separately complete with a language switching feature to produce more than one version of the graphic for advertising purposes, for example. With Pics, the issue of incorrect flag elements and garbled text generated by AI can be avoided before it causes confusion when it goes viral.
It supports integration in Google Workspace applications (Docs, Slides, and soon Drive) so that users can edit images directly in work documents. For now, it is only available for Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra customers, as well as most Google Workspace business customers. Google Pics can be used starting today.
