2. Update profile privacy settings




You can control how many people can see your Last, profile photo and status on WhatsApp. To change this setting, you can go to Settings - Privacy




3. Set group chat privacy settings




Take advantage of this feature to control who can add you to WhatsApp groups. To do this, go to Settings in WhatsApp - Account Privacy Group and select one of three options: except Everyone, My Contacts, or My Contacts.




My Contacts means that only people in your contacts can add to WhatsApp groups. Except My Contacts, which means extra control except for people who are already in your contacts.




4. Lock with Touch ID or Face ID




You can decide whether you want WhatsApp to be locked automatically when not in use, or after a period of inactivity. Touch ID (using fingerprints) or Face ID (with face recognition) are important additional security features.
