Blue Origin Teases Virgin Galactic Ahead of Richard Branson's Trip to Space

Billionaire Richard Branson will fly into space on Sunday (11/7), surpassing Jeff Bezos nine days earlier. Although Branson admits that there is no competition between the two, as does Jeff Bezos, it seems that Bezos' company is a bit disappointed.
As is known, Branson as the founder of Virgin Galactic will launch into space using the VSS Unity aircraft, while Bezos will ride the New Shepard rocket made by his company Blue Origin. Two days before Branson's flight, Blue Origin took a stab at Virgin Galactic on social media.

In a tweet, Blue Origin compared the space travel they offer to that provided by Virgin Galactic. Both offer suborbital flight, but Blue Origin is keen to emphasize that their rockets will fly higher.

Blue Origin says the New Shepard rocket and capsule will take space tourists to an altitude of 100 km, while Virgin Galactic only reaches an altitude of 80 km.

Blue Origin thinks that space begins after crossing the Karman line at an altitude of 100 km. But based on the evidence of NASA, NOAA, the Federal Aviation Administration and the United States Air Force, space technically begins at an altitude of 80 km, as quoted from Mashable, Sunday (11/7/2021).
