Unisoc Chip Security Vulnerabilities Can Cause Interference To Cellular Networks

 


The Unisoc chip became one of the most popular chips last year because it was more affordable to use on devices that don’t require high performance. But according to a Check Point Research report, there are security vulnerabilities on Unisoc chips that could result in hacker attacks leading to disruption of cellular network connections.



The vulnerability was found on the Unisoc T700 chip used on the Motorola Moto G20 with a January 2022. security patch. The number of Unisoc chips affected by this vulnerability was not disclosed but Check Point Research has already announced their findings to Unisoc. So the next Android security patch will look at this vulnerability.
