"The price of the ticket goes up to Borobudur temple by 750K. At first I thought, it's crazy expensive. When I found out the reason, hmm, yes," said @badsweetg***.

"Considering that Borobudur is very old, so it needs to be maintained and preserved. The ticket has been deliberately increased so that the number of visitors is reduced," @mjpty58.

"There are many ways to limit visitors from going up to the Borobudur temple by registering online with strict conditions, one of which is not increasing the boss's ticket," said @wasqtoa***

"A mercenary brain, yes. If you really want to conserve/preserve Borobudur, the solution is not to increase the price. But, build a complete MUSEUM with replicas, history, etc., which is open to the public. The temple area can only be entered for the benefit of Buddhist worship, education , & research," critique @_mas***.

As is known, the government plans to increase the ticket price for Borobudur Temple to IDR 750 thousand per person for local tourists just to climb Borobudur Temple. Meanwhile, the entrance ticket to the Borobudur Temple area is still IDR 50 thousand per person for local tourists.

The reason for setting the ticket price is because there is a quota system per day for those who are allowed to go up to the Borobudur Temple. The government has set a quota of 1,200 people per day for those who are allowed to climb the temple for conservation purposes.
