Playing FIFA on PC Will Be as Smooth as on Xbox and PS5

Many FIFA gamers on PC have complained that the game lags behind console versions like Xbox and PS5. But that will not happen in FIFA 23.

Last Wednesday (20/7) Electronic Arts (EA) opened orders for FIFA 23 and revealed that the PC version of FIFA 23 will be the same as the PS5 and Xbox Series versions. Different from FIFA 22 and FIFA 21, where the PC version is Legacy Editions ported from PS4 and Xbox One.

As a result, FIFA 22 and FIFA 21 have graphical displays that are not as good as the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions. However, in the PC version of FIFA 23, EA will present the HyperMotion feature, which means that player movement animations will be smoother, also equipped with cross play.

The presence of this feature should bring significant graphical improvements for FIFA 23 gamers on PC, something gamers of next gen consoles like PS5 and Xbox Series X have been able to enjoy since 2020.

Previously, EA seemed to be holding back the PC version of the FIFA game so that the specifications needed to play its flagship game were not too high. This is because the FIFA game series has a very large and varied number of players. Then they usually still support old-school consoles. For example, the most recent FIFA game on PS3 is FIFA 19.

By improving the graphics quality of FIFA 23 on PC, the minimum specifications needed have skyrocketed drastically when compared to the minimum specifications for FIFA 22.

Here are the minimum specs for FIFA 23 on PC

CPU: Core i5 6600K or Ryzen 5 1600 (FIFA 22 only needs Core i3 6100 or Athlon X4 880k)

GPU: GTX 1050 Ti or Radeon RX 570 (FIFA 22 only needs GTX 660 or Radeon HD 7850.

RAM: 8GB (same as FIFA 22)

VRAM: 4GB (FIFA 22 only needs 2GB)

Storage: 100GB (FIFA 23 only needs 50GB)

DirectX 12
