Netflix ends 2022 with 230.75 million paying subscribers. This is a higher number of subscribers than their target of 227.59 million subscribers. A total of 7.66 million new customers were successfully added in Q4 2022.
The number of customers increased the highest in Europe with 3.2 million and the second highest was in the APAC region with 1.8 million new customers. In the North American market only 910,000 new subscribers were recorded showing how intense the video streaming market is in the region. The increase in new subscribers in this market is relatively low even though cheaper plans with ad support have been introduced.
