As promised, the Realme GT Neo5 has finally been officially announced in China today. Some improvements are given to make it an updated model more attractive than the previous generation.
One of them is the 240W fast charging support that allows the 4600mAh battery to be fully charged in just 16 minutes. As an option there are also other models equipped with a larger 5000mAh battery with a 150W charging system. When the battery runs out, the recharging process can be done using the included USB-C connection port on both devices.
Another thing that is very interesting about the device is that 1/4 of the back panel contains a kind of translucent panel with RGB lighting support. It can be found next to the main camera module along with the text Dare To Leap can also be seen. A total of 25 color options are given and they will light up depending on the setting. For example, like playing first, receiving notifications, battery level and so on.
Furthermore, the screen is a 6.74-inch AMOLED that also supports FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It is then matched with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, memory up to 16GB RAM and internal storage up to 1TB.
The main camera setup consists of 50MP Sony IMX 890 (OIS) + 8MP (ultra-wide) + 2MP (microscope). The front camera is 16MP which is placed in a small hole on the front screen. The device also packs a stereo speaker system that is also tuned with HiRes Audio/Dolby Atmos.
