These are the Top Four Reasons Android Users Are Switching to iPhones

More and more Android users have migrated to Apple over the past five years. We say this because when walking in Kuala Lumpur, it is easier to see iPhone users compared to five years ago. It is no longer seen as a luxury device with data from the United States showing consumers are now choosing to buy older model iPhones over mid-range Androids.

A study by CIRP published yesterday revealed four main reasons for this displacement. A total of 53% of users moved due to issues experienced on their Android devices. A total of 26% said because they wanted new features on the iPhone. Meanwhile, 15% said the cost of buying an iPhone is now the same as Android and finally 6% said it's because of ecosystems like FaceTime and iMessage.

The data in is specific to the United States only but we feel it is very similar to the situation in Malaysia. We once published an article saying iOS android is good for Android users because it makes it easier for them to migrate to iPhone. With 26% moving for that reason, Apple's borrowing of various Android features is a smart move.

What about our readers? What made you move to the Apple camp. For those who are still loyal to Android, why are you still loyal? For us, the reason Android is still used as a daily device is because Google Assistant is 100% smarter than Siri. We are still not able to live without Assistant at this time.
