The world’s largest pirated sports streaming service, Streameast, has been shut down by authorities. The Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE) worked with Egyptian authorities from July 2024 to June 2025 to find the party responsible for offering the service.
Streameast was visited by 1.6 billion users last year across 80 domains. It illegally offered free live streaming of major European football leagues, UEFA leagues, World Cup qualifiers, UFC, boxing, NFL, NBA, NHL, Formula 1 and more to viewers.
In addition to arresting the operator, authorities also seized computers, smartphones, cash and crypto wallets belonging to the suspect. The world’s largest pirated sports streaming service, Streameast, used a proxy company in the UAE to channel illegal advertising revenue generated by the site.
The Streameast site, when accessed today, will display a link for visitors to stream the sports events they want to watch using the official streaming platform.
