The episode involving inDrive when it was ordered to cease operations has now come to an end as the company is finally allowed to resume operations after receiving approval from the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD). With this approval, the company has completed the three-month monitoring period and fully met all the regulatory requirements.
Following this, inDrive will strengthen its presence in Malaysia through a more systematic driver recruitment process, enhanced document review, continuous internal audits and expanded driver support initiatives. The company also remains committed to a safe travel experience and long-term investment in the Malaysian community through programs such as the inDrive Academy and various initiatives focused on accessibility.
Meanwhile, the ‘Platinum Drivers Giveaway’ will return in the first half of 2026 with enhanced reward categories and engagement initiatives to continue motivating drivers. This update also comes after Maxim previously confirmed that they are still officially operating in Malaysia.
