Those looking to buy electronic devices this year should be patient as sales prices have increased sharply due to the RAM supply crisis. The high demand for data centers has caused some companies to be willing to pay more just to ensure supply. HP has now confirmed that RAM prices now contribute 35% to the cost of producing their devices.
A drastic increase when previously RAM only contributed between 15% to 18% of the production cost of a device. The trend still shows that RAM sales prices continue to increase due to high demand. This is expected to continue until the end of 2029 according to some economists.
Previously, several device manufacturers have aimed to reduce the production of new models this year, in addition to console manufacturers such as Sony who postponed the introduction of the next generation console due to the high memory price factor.
