Leica Leitzphone Powered By Xiaomi Sold In Malaysia At RM7499

In conjunction with Leica's 100th anniversary, the company has partnered with Xiaomi to launch the Leica Leitzphone powered by Xiaomi. The device combines Leica's iconic design heritage with modern technology, putting Leica's classic approach to imaging at its core. It comes with a durable aluminum alloy construction and a nickel-anodized finish, reflecting Leica's identity in every detail.

In terms of software, the new interface tuned by Leica also offers a comprehensive imaging experience. The main highlight is the Leica Camera Ring, which is a physical control with a textured finish (knurling) that gives the feeling of using a real zoom camera. Apart from that, there is a Leica Essential mode that mimics the image quality and photography style of iconic Leica cameras such as the M9 and M3 with MONOPAN 50 film.

For specifications, the device offers a 6.9″ Xiaomi HyperRGB OLED screen with a resolution of 2608 × 1200, a refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness of 3500 nits. The display supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, and is TÜV Rheinland certified for Low Blue Light, Flicker Free, and Circadian Friendly. It is also powered by a Snapdragon Elite Gen 5 chip with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage.

The phone is also equipped with a 6000mAh battery with support for 90W HyperCharge fast charging and 50W HyperCharge wireless charging. It also features a Leica camera system consisting of a 50MP main camera using a 1-inch sensor (OIS), a 200MP telephoto and a 50MP ultra-wide.

In Malaysia, the Leica Leitzphone powered by Xiaomi is offered in black with a 16GB RAM + 1TB storage configuration for RM7,499. Every purchase also comes with a free gift of a Xiaomi 17 Ultra Photography Kit Pro worth RM1,099 and a Xiaomi Sound Party worth RM349.
