DeepSeek, a Chinese artificial intelligence model developer, is reportedly in the process of raising funds to ensure its continued operations and enable it to train more powerful models. Further, it is now being reported that Tencent and Alibaba are interested in investing in DeepSeek.
DeepSeek is also expected to be valued at over $20 billion, higher than initial expectations due to the company's desire to align it with Moonshot's valuation of around $18 billion.
For now, DeepSeek has not announced anything related to this. For DeepSeek itself, they have been delayed in introducing the latest model, DeepSeek v4, which was supposed to be introduced a few months ago, but has not yet been launched.
