Anker is now entering the arena of producing its own artificial intelligence (AI) chips after launching the Thus chip. They plan to use Thus in audio products such as headphones, earphones, mobile accessories and also connected device (IoT) products that will be launched this May.
Thus is a Compute‑in‑Memory (CIM) chip that offers the ability to process various AI features directly from the device that uses it. It uses lower power requirements suitable for the use of mobile accessories with small battery capacity.
What AI features can be supported by Thus has not yet been announced by Anker. But it is likely that it will be the noise cancellation and real-time language translation features that are supported by various earphones on the market today. Products with the Thus chip will be announced at Anker Day on May 21.
