The Minister of Defense now shares that Malaysia is aiming to start its own rocket production within about two years.
This partnership comes as an extension of the collaboration between Weststar Defence Industries Sdn Bhd and Australia Rocket Technologies International which focuses on aerospace and defense technology. Both parties will focus on collaboration in developing aerospace technology capabilities.
In addition to its own rocket production, this collaboration also aims for Malaysia to produce ammunition or missiles in the future.
This move is seen as continuing to strengthen Malaysia's position in the aerospace industry, as well as developing the defense ecosystem, as well as strengthening the country's defense capabilities for future generations, as well as reducing foreign dependence.
