Meta, the company behind Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram is ready to make a high investment in the development of artificial intelligence, Meta AI. This includes the development of data centers to support Meta AI offerings. Currently, the use of Meta AI is still low, due to its model that is not seen as very good compared to the offerings of OpenAI, Google and Anthropic.
Looking at this, Meta has high processing and computing power that is not used. This also opens up space for new businesses under them.
According to reports, Meta is planning to establish a business focusing on cloud infrastructure, while selling computing power and AI models to other companies. Its business model is expected to resemble Google Cloud and others.
