U Mobile has announced that the GoLife insurance plan will be terminated completely after August 31, 2026. This information was found through a brief notification in the MyUMobile application. This means that after that date, the GoLife plan will no longer be available to customers. However, the company has not yet issued an official statement or public announcement, nor has it provided an explanation for the reason for the termination.
However, from this announcement, it can be understood that both GoLife plans will no longer be offered for new subscriptions or renewals through the U Mobile platform after August 31, 2026. The status of existing policies is still uncertain but could potentially remain valid until the end date of their respective coverage.
In fact, the FAQ section also states that any active subscriptions will continue to enjoy insurance coverage until the end of the period. However, no renewals can be made after that. If there are new developments from U Mobile, we will update in a future article.
For reference, GoLife consists of two options, namely GoLife 5 and GoLife 10. GoLife 5 is offered at RM5 per month with coverage of RM18,000 for death or permanent disability from all causes and RM36,000 for infectious diseases. Meanwhile, GoLife 10 is offered at RM10 per month with coverage of RM38,000 for death or permanent disability from all causes, and RM76,000 for certain infectious diseases.
