Mozilla Firefox Auto Fill Login All Applications

Mozilla Firefox introduces several new features that will make it easier for users to log into apps on Android. This latest update will save and autofill passwords for Android apps using Firefox, or unlock them using face or fingerprint.

Actually Firefox already has a Lockbox to store credentials. But still, accessing sites or applications on Google Chrome is still a bottleneck.

With this update, when users create apps on their Android devices, they can add new passwords and save them directly to the Firefox browser. This will then be saved on the phone and desktop as well.

From there, as quoted from Engadget, Monday (4/10/2021) we can auto-fill any password that has been saved in the browser to log into any online account such as the Twitter or Instagram application, so there is no need to open a web page.

If you have multiple devices, you can also use your Firefox account to sync passwords across all of them. Firefox also introduced biometric security, allowing users to access accounts using their faces and fingerprints.

Mozilla introduced this feature as well as commemorating Cybersecurity Awareness or Cyber Security Awareness month which falls in October. These new features will be introduced in the Firefox 93 update, which begins releasing October 5, 2021.
