The 5G network has been introduced in Malaysia since December 2021. Although two telcos have signed an agreement with DNB for 5G offerings, to date TM has yet to introduce their offerings through Unifi Mobile.
Initially, there was information that it might be introduced as early as February or March - but TM denied the matter and said it would introduce it to the public after it was ready.
For now, it is unknown why TM is facing delays in the introduction of their 5G network.
In any case, now the Malaysian Minister of Communications and Multimedia says TM and YTL will hold 5G launchers in three areas, namely Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Cyberjaya after Aidilfitri.
This means that we may see both telcos officially introduce it-allowing us to see TM's offering through Unifi Mobile for 5G in the future.
