Fortinet now shares that Malaysia recorded around 57.8 million virus attacks in the first quarter of 2022 this year. Meanwhile, exploit-based attacks also totaled 3.96 billion in the same period, which is about 0.95% of the known figure in global rankings.
As many know, a virus attack is when it is transmitted through a link or file that attacks the system. As for exploits, it also relates to using vulnerabilities in systems connected to the internet arena.
In addition, Fortinet also said there were about 57.2 million botnets identified from Malaysia, which is about 1.19% global threat. This botnet is a form of virus that is planted on a user's system, and waits for it to be activated for attack.
With the development of the internet and technology arena, the number of threats is also increasing day by day. People are always asked to be careful, and often refer to official sources to avoid becoming cyber prey.
