China is ready to announce a target to establish a settlement on the Moon in an effort to facilitate the process of space exploration. In developing a settlement, one of the things needed is the ability to have energy to operate on the Earth's natural satellite.
For that purpose, now China is developing a new nuclear system that will be used on the Moon. The energy generated will be used to facilitate the operation of equipment on the Moon, including to generate oxygen, water and so on. This energy is also important for communication and data transfer purposes.
For now, no technical sharing has been given regarding the nuclear reactor being developed.
